Cox Conserves Heroes recognizes UC volunteer Kristy Hitchcock

Front Yard Initiative client and Urban Conservancy volunteer Kristy Hitchcock was recognized as a Cox Conserves Heroes runner up on November 7 in Baton Rouge. She was awarded $5000 to go to the nonprofit of her choice and selected the Urban Conservancy to be the recipient.

The Cox Conserves Heroes awards program was created through a partnership with The Trust for Public Land and Cox Enterprises, the parent company of Cox Communications. The program has donated nearly $800,000 to environmental nonprofits, and nearly 200 volunteers have been honored.
