The coalition of organizations supporting transparency around the controversial decisions to abandon Charity Hospital and Downtown New Orleans and to demolish Lower Mid-City has now grown to include 78 organizations.

We have asked:

1. That the Governor initiate an independent analysis of the costs and benefits of both the FHL/RMJM plan to rebuild Charity Hospital and the proposed LSU/VA

2. That the City Planning Commission and City Council hold public hearings on the decision to surrender Lower Mid-City, as required by law.

3. That the Goody Clancy master plan include an examination of the positive and negative impacts of each proposed hospital.

Though our requests are unmet, these events have reenergized efforts to ensure that our concerns are substantively addressed by the people in power, especially with municipal elections on the horizon.

Please come out and show your support.
