Hike the Lafitte Corridor
Saturday, May 8, 2010 | 10 am
Meet at the front gates of Louis Armstrong Park, N. Rampart St.
Please join us as we hike the Lafitte Corridor, New Orleans’ next great amenity! It’s a three mile hike, and the weather is sure to be warm if not hot, and parts of the path are overgrown and weedy — though not so overgrown and weedy as they might be, thanks to the efforts of Sheriff Marlon Gusman. So dress accordingly, and bring some sunscreen.
You might want to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. This is a hike, not a garden walk. Flip-flops are not appropriate footwear!
The hike is free and open to the public. Please register in advance so we can plan for sufficient lunches — choose the free ticket or be a FOLC Hero with the donation of your choice. You will be prompted to indicate whether you will need transportation back to the starting point (Armstrong Park).
