Abita Brewing Backs French Quarter Fest
ABITA SPRINGS — The Abita Brewing Co. today announced a new partnership with the French Quarter Festival as the official beer sponsor.
“It is only fitting that New Orleans’ favorite beer sponsors and supports this showcase for New Orleans’ unique cultural heritage,” said David Blossman, president of Abita Brewing Co. “We’re glad to do our part to help keep the French Quarter Festival the largest free music festival in the South.”
Marci Schramm, executive director of French Quarter Festivals Inc. said Abita is also sponsor of Satchmo SummerFest.
The Abita Brewing Co. was founded in 1986 and is the 32nd-largest commercial brewer by production volume in the nation and the 16th-largest craft brewer in the United States. Sales for the company should exceed 82,000 barrels and $16 million this year.
The 25th French Quarter Festival will take place April 11-13. It is expected to attract an estimated 400,000 fans and generate an economic impact of more than $100 million for New Orleans.
