Front Yard Initiative’s 2020 Residential Survey Results

The Urban Conservancy (UC) believes the implementation and understanding of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) is integral to New Orleans’ resilience. The installation of highly effective residential GSI; public awareness and attitudes towards residential GSI; the satisfaction with both the process and their projects of those who implement GSI; and the role financial incentives play in catalyzing gray-to-green conversions are all examined here. In the Spring of 2020, the UC surveyed Front Yard Initiative (FYI) participants who completed their gray-to-green projects from 2015 to December 2019. Of the 78 eligible respondents, 68 responded (or 86%), giving us the results below.
