Megan Lauland

StayLocal Program Assistant

Megan Lauland is from Metairie, Louisiana and is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Design and Environmental Studies from Tulane University. She strongly believes that intentional design approaches play a significant role in the way consumers interact with the visual world. Megan’s goal is to comprehend the importance of a mediator between the producer and the consumer, which would allow both sides to share their stories and reach a common ground for progress. She aspires to collaborate with New Orleans communities and organizations in need, using design thinking as a tool to overcome their challenges.

As an intern at UC, she supports the team by examining the effectiveness of StayLocal’s consumer facing campaigns and amplify the most effective methods that increase awareness of the positive impact that residents and visitors have on the community’s economy when they purchase from local businesses.
