BASIN 2021 Recap

We learned a lot while having a lot of fun this summer! From sculpting with clay to building our own multiple lines of defense board, there are so many creative, engaging ways to learn and become water stewards!

I want to give a special shout out to all of our amazing guest speakers who volunteered their time to educate the next water leaders! Miguel from Friends of the Lafitte Greenway gave us a tour of the Greenway, Bryant from the SWBNO showed us the benefits of green infrastructure, we helped Will from Green Light New Orleans paint rain barrels, Laura from Bike Easy taught us bike safety, Dr. Thomas from Loyola’s Environment Program led us on a bug hunt, and Tres from the Master Naturalists taught us about natural history. Y’all made this camp super special for a lot of great kids, we can’t wait for next summer!
